This trail is perfect for those looking to learn more about the longest lake in Lithuania - Asveja. It's a "wild" hiking path that stretches along Asveja's picturesque coast, starting on the high slopes of Ludgard and leading to the mouth of Baluoša Stream. You'll travel approximately two kilometres one way, and you'll have to take the same path going back. However, the walk will not bore you: along the way, there's plenty of rest (and swimming!) areas, as well as playful information panels that not only tell you about the lake, its islands and its underwater treasures, but also invite you to take part in a test to find out which fish in Lake Asveja resembles you most!
In the regional park of Asvejas, near the town of Dubingiai, Asvejas lake is supported by the Ludgard slope, which is higher than Gediminas Castle. From here there is a wonderful view of the longest lake in Lithuania - Lake Asveja. The educational trail that stretches from the Ludgardas slope viewpoint and the mouth of the Baluša stream is almost 4 kilometers of surprising nature. A new educational trail with an information system, educational facilities and rest areas has been installed on the ridge of the slope. Along the way, you will not only find a lot of interesting information about the Asveja event park, Asveja lake and the islands formed here, Sufozinis circus and even more natural works.
Liudgard Slope is one of the most interesting places in Asveja Regional Park. This is the steep, in front of Vainikai Island, a pine-covered slope on the northern shore of Lake Asveja between the Baluoša stream and the village of Giraičiai. The slope offers a wonderful view of Lake Asveja. Slope length ~ 570 m, distance from the top of the slope to the lake ~ 60 m, height ~ 20-25 m. There are stairs on the slope to descend to Lake Asveja.
