St John Nepomukas’ Monument

St John Nepomukas’ Monument

It‘s said that the rebels of 1863, backing off to Kaunas through Molėtai, stopped for the night by the Siesartis stream and were saved by St John Nepomukas. The first monument to the saver was carved of wood in 1925, but in 1951 it was taken down and thrown to Pravalas lake. The current monument was rebuilt in 1991 by V. Jurevičius.
