Kugel is a mashed potato dish that is baked in a deep pot, keeping it in the oven or in the oven for several hours. During the education, you will taste a kugel freshly baked in the oven with a fatty meat and onion sauce at the Ethnographic Homestead. Baked in the oven, the kugel acquires a unique aftertaste and smell, which is not comparable to baked in the oven. In this education, you will also hear a story about the most popular dishes of the Highlands and their specialties. We will present dishes characteristic of other regions (Žemaitija, Suvalkija, Dzūkija and Little Lithuania), and we will compare what makes each region unique.
