Glass Museum and Picture Gallery

The Balninkai Museum of Glass is the first specialised glassware museum in Lithuania. It exhibits glassware produced by glass factories and plants operating in Lithuania at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, as well as remnants of broken glassware and refractory materials from glass manufactories operating in the 17th and 19th centuries.

The multi-purpose centre "Neighbourhood House" (Kaimynystės namai) is not only a glass museum and a picture gallery, but it also presents the history of the region, expositions of partisan and household items of the Great Combat District B, as well as the domestic life of the people of the region. Visitors are introduced to the history of the Balninkai area, the partisan movement, the population of the Balninkai region in the 18th and 20th centuries. at the beginning of the household.

Visitors are invited to try out the museum's educational programme "Painting on Glass", the cooking together activity "Aukštaičiai meals – for the table of kings", and a tasting of dishes of Aukštaičiai.

The Neighbourhood House organizes a sightseeing tour of Balninkai, visiting St. Bishop Stanislaus Church.
