Educational program "From grain to loaf of bread" CULTURAL PASSPORT EDUCATION
In the bread baking class, you will get acquainted with one of the oldest foods - Bread. Participants will grind grains, sift flour, mix bread yeast and prepare bread dough. They will hear a story about the important place Bread has occupied in human life, folklore, songs, fairy tales and faith. Each participant will touch the making of Bread, and will take home a piece of freshly baked bread and the experience that each of us can take care of our own daily bread.

Educational program "Oven-baked Aukštaitė flatbread "kugel""
Kugel is a dish of mashed potatoes that is baked in a deep pot, keeping it in the oven or in the oven for several hours. During the education at the Ethnographic Farmhouse, you will taste a freshly baked kugel with a fatty meat and onion sauce. Kugel baked in the oven acquires a unique aftertaste and aroma that is incomparable to that baked in the oven. Also, in this education, you will hear a story about the most popular dishes of the Aukštaitė region and their distinctive features. We will present dishes typical of other regions (Žemaitija, Suvalkija, Dzūkija and Lithuania Minor), and we will compare what makes each region unique.

Lecture "In the Footsteps of the Lithuanian Zodiac"
Old historical sources contain evidence that Lithuanians are familiar with the signs of the Zodiac. The ethnoastronomer J. Vaiškūnas's research into folklore and ethnographic material also testifies to the unique knowledge of the Zodiac constellation circle. In an engaging lecture, you will not only hear, we learned, but also feel with your whole being how important and influential our ancestors were, how attractive and interesting they are to us today. The program consists of two parts: the first will take place in nature, in the Ancient Observatory of Heavenly Luminaries at the altar, the second - in the museum hut.

The lecture participants will gain a vivid impression of how in ancient times the observation of celestial bodies was perceived and time was calculated, which is necessary to assess the role of the Sun, Moon and stars in the lives of ancient people, having become acquainted with the origins of the science of astronomy. The lecture will consist of two parts: the first will take place in nature, at the Ancient Observatory of Celestial Bodies near the altar, the second - in the museum courtyard.
