An idea to build a chapel in that place was born in the head of Rita Varatinskienė, the resident of Skudutiškis. It was supported by Pranciškus Venskus, the then parson of Skudutiškis parish. The congregation contributed in every possible way to the chapel’s construction. After collection donations, the most famous masters of crosses and altars - A. and G. Juškos were addressed. They made a design of the chapel and carried out construction works with the help of local residents. During the feast of the Trinity held in May, 1997, the chapel was sanctified by the prelate Jonas Jonys, the general vicar of Kaišiadorys diocese. Since then, the chapel of Skudutiškis and the nearby situated stones with the signs are abundantly visited both by prayers and tourists.
